Heavy-equipment market experience
Why TerraSource Africa can take procurement ownership seriously
TerraSource Africa is based in South Africa and works with project buyers who need reliable procurement control for mobile equipment used in mining, construction, power, and infrastructure environments.
That experience now supports a broader procurement role: helping EPCM firms, procurement teams, contractors, mine operators, and project owners move high-value equipment through a more accountable commercial process.
What the business is built on
The points below highlight the main areas TerraSource Africa supports on this page.
Relationship-led access and commercial discipline
South African procurement reach
African delivery coordination support
Equipment knowledge matters, but procurement control matters more
Equipment procurement in African markets is still relationship-led. The right machine matters, but so does the route to purchase, the credibility of the supplier, the documentation, the payment structure, and the delivery path.
TerraSource Africa operates in that practical middle ground - where equipment knowledge, commercial trust, and project coordination meet.
From requirement to controlled procurement outcome
We help buyers clarify equipment requirements, identify credible procurement routes, coordinate verification, control payment and documentation flow, and assist with logistics communication until delivery.
Our value is not in listing machines. Our value is in helping serious buyers move from requirement to controlled procurement outcome.

About and positioning questions
Does TerraSource Africa only handle used equipment?
No. TerraSource Africa operates as a procurement partner, not a used-equipment seller. Where a requirement justifies it, we can assess new, late-model used, or project-fit equipment through a controlled procurement route.
What type of buyers do you work with?
We work with EPCM firms, procurement teams, contractors, mine operators, infrastructure projects, generator buyers, and companies that need new earthmoving and construction equipment, replacement parts, and mobile power equipment sourced and delivered for project use.
Can you source equipment outside South Africa?
We have a balanced sourcing strategy, utilizing a 50-50% split between South Africa and global suppliers. We take equipment procurement off the buyer's plate, assessing each requirement based on procurement route strength, supplier credibility, project destination, commercial feasibility, and delivery control.
